HSE also presented a viable development strategy that received high marks by the Council. The university roadmap was presented by Yaroslav Kuzminov, HSE Rector; Vadim Radaev, First Vice Rector; Maria Yudkevich, Vice Rector; Igor Chirikov, Vice Rector; and Irina Karelina, Director of Strategic Planning.
‘We are witnessing sustainable dynamics in almost all universities. All 21 universities are continuing their participation in the programme, and all of them will receive funding’, Olga Golodets told journalists covering the session. ‘The universities have been split into three groups. The leaders have demonstrated stable dynamics and a quantum leap. We can see a breakthrough even in the areas we hadn’t expected. For example, the Higher School of Economics is successful in the sociology and political science rankings, where Russian universities hadn’t been represented previously’.
